Day 10
Double digits. Day 10. Here are a couple of things that sparked joy today.
Brushing my son’s hair.
Coffee, coffee, and coffee. One thing I did stuck up on weeks ago was Espresso beans.
Hang in there guys!

Day 8
Not much to write about today. Trying to establish routines. One amazing thing happened today though. Our guineas are so much happier. They run, jump, and play with each other all day. When we take them out, they snuggle up and give us kisses. A lot more trust than before. Be safe!

Day 7
A quiet day away from news. Lots family time. Lots of playing with Oreo and Shadow. Movies.
Comfort food. Very happy tomorrow is a work day as it gives me structure and purpose.
It’s supposed to snow tomorrow???!!!!!! First snow this year? If not, maybe, 2nd?
2nd?

Day 6
So it’s been a very weird day. Every morning when I wake up and look up at the sky from our balcony, I almost forget that everything is on lock down. I started daily workouts on Beachbody and am trying to avoid watching the news. However, one of the kids in our building has the virus. His mom told us when she was out walking the dog (!!!!). We are not taking elevators and using the stairs in our building. I am terrified of giving it to my mom-in-law whose immune system is compromised. I was able to order groceries on Amazon Fresh to get us through the next two weeks.
I am trying to stay positive and work. It really helps me keep things normal whatever that normal is.
Put together the new cage for our guineas and played with them a bunch. We watched another James Bond and Outbreak ( a movie from 1995) trending on Netflix.

Day 4
Today went by very fast. I think we are getting used to our new imposed routine. Wake-up, coffee, work for me while my husband is homeschooling our son. Walks later in the day. I am trying to avoid reading the news, and focus on being productive. Today's photos were taken my son when they went for a walk around the building, and the video is from this morning. Oreo and Shadow are the best!

Day 3
I started getting really anxious yesterday thinking about what is still ahead of us. Yes, it is going to get worse before it is going to get better. I wish people took it more seriously and did not flood Florida beaches. Reading a recount of has been going on in Italy did not help.
My family took me out for a walk. Luckily behind our building is a big baseball field. The walk calmed me down so now I know what to do if I start feeling like that again, which I know I will.
We finished the day with a game of Monopoly and some Beatles (lots of Beatles). I lost, of course, even though I had both blue properties and even houses.
This morning was the first day of online work from my son's school. I hope that when all of this is over, currently trending appreciation for teachers does not fade away.
Stay safe,

Day 2
Good morning! How are you holding up?
We survived Day 1. Last night was fun. I made dinner, we played Monopoly and watched an old James Bond movie "Die Another Day". My son has never seen any of the James Bond movies.
A few things I found on the web yesterday that I think we'll be helpful to us: Sing Out! and a list of fun podcasts.
Free cooking lessons!

Day 1
Lunch break post.
I am lucky that my husband is fully responsible for our son in terms of homeschooling and entertainment (schools are closed as of today). We are big fans of Mathletics. It's fun, self-explanatory, and gets your child to love Math.
Good news. Zoom works. In fact, zoom works great. We had two meetings today, and I was impressed by the quality of sound and video. My colleagues are amazing as they continue to work hard to make sure The New School students are provided with services they need.
Tip of the day: subscribe to one of online workout programs. My personal favorite is Beachbody. All kind of workouts from beginner to advanced. Tons of Yoga, Pilates, etc. I have just resubscribed the gym in my building got shut down.
Stay safe and healthy, everybody!
